BFA, Spring 2015

 

My studio is a lab in which I examine all my items to get “deformed”, though light, color theory, texture of materials, physical theory, in order to dig for meanings and ideas.  Archaeology of my studio practice is collaged together. Revelations occur daily and become part of my practice. Sometimes I end up with dead ends but it provides a different kind of opening. My work is a kind of idiomatic formal language based on everyday materials, the remnants and the mundane gestures of every day life.
