My current work coalesces and abstracts intersections between cultural expectations and personal experience concerning the female body and psyche. Physical manipulation and collage of materials represents a deconstruction and reconstitution of memories, assumptions, and ideologies. It is a reflection on issues of trauma, loss, and an effectual search for healing. Rebuilding towards a new sum of fragmented parts becomes recovery--at times--retaliation.
